 A political controversy has reportedly emerged within the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in Orhionmwon Local Government Area following a publication circulated in the early hours of Tuesday, July 7, 2026, announcing an alleged change of the party’s candidate for the Orhionmwon South Constituency seat. Mr. Collins Omoruyi, who maintains that he emerged as the duly nominated candidate of the party through the ADC primary election, has strongly rejected the publication, describing it as false, misleading, and a calculated attempt to undermine the democratic process within the party. According to Omoruyi, the publication purported to replace him with Mr. Daniel Edosa Orobosa without his knowledge, consent, or any officially recognized process of the party.
