June 12 Democracy Day Celebration A mockery To Nigerians and A reminder of the origin of their endless suffering ~ Comr. Eribo Osaretin
"I personally do not see today June 12 as a significant day to mark our democracy as a nation, June 12 is a reminder of how disastrous the entire system has been, m.k.o Abiola scenario is a Mark and a reminder of the Nigeria institutional failure, from the dishonesty in electoral body, corrupt security architecture, a destroyed judicial system.
Today mark the celebration and a reminder of the long existence of a failed Nigeria state.
Today should have been a better day to celebrate our democracy if all the factors that hinder the Jun 12 1993 election were no more in our system, what Nigerians are experiencing today is a mess even more then the june-12 scenario.
Until electoral body allow Nigerians vote to count, June 12 will continue to remain a horrible memory and a reminder of the origin of their present day suffering.
Until the Security agencies start acting neutral in elections, June 12 democracy day celebration shall continue to be a reminder of the endless police brutality and other security agencies bias in electoral exercise,
Until the judiciary become the actual hope of both the rich and poor, the June 12 celebration shall remain a reminder of judicial corruption..
Until the executive begin to act in accordance with the rule of law and know that the executive power is for the good governance of the people and not for the manipulation of the will of the people in electoral exercise, then June 12 shall continue to be a reminder of executive rascality a Sign of hopelessness.
Until this whole thing is achieved, the June 12 celebration of Nigeria democracy is nothing but a mockery to Nigerians and a calculated attempt to remind them of the origin of their endless suffering..."
HAPPY ALLEGED DEMOCRACY DAY TO NIGERIANS
