EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP FOR POSITIVE CHANGE: THE IMPACT OF HONOURABLE NEWMAN UGIAGBE'S NARRATIVE SHIFT

 

The Executive Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Newman Ugiagbe, has reaffirmed his commitment to positively impacting governance and development in the community, saying his commitment is to ensure that the positive impacts of governance are felt by all.

Within 15 months of  administration of Hon. Ugiagbe, significant strides have been made in various sectors. These include building and renovating dilapidated schools, revamping health centers, and constructing new community markets.

Additionally, electricity transformers have been installed, solar street lights erected, and industrial boreholes sunk with generators and generator houses in some communities. Some town hall buildings have also been renovated.

Hon. Ugiagbe highlighted the progress made in the Council's Secretariat, where the Legislator complex, housing key facilities, is now complete and ready for use. The Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary offices have been renovated and equipped with necessary amenities.

The Council Boss, dismayed by the deplorable conditions of some markets in Orhionmwon and swiftly initiated construction of new community markets and renovation of existing ones.

"As a responsible government, we took it upon ourselves to provide a better environment for people to conduct their business," Hon. Ugiagbe declared, underscoring his administration's dedication to the people's well-being.
