Edo '24: Picking Ogie as Running Mate, Good Omen

The Edo PDP is poised to secure victory by wisely selecting Barr. Osarodion Ogie as the running mate to Asue Ighodalo. Both individuals bring rich experience, which will lead to unparalleled development in Edo State when given the mandate to steer the ship of governance.

I am pleased that the party leadership heeded the call for the choice of Barr. Osarodion Ogie, as they would not regret it. As I mentioned in my last article, the Edo '24 contest demands a running mate chosen for their political merit rather than for sentimental or trivial reasons.

Barr. Ogie is not a neophyte in the political terrain. He has the  clout, and his teeming political foot soldiers across all senatorial districts of Edo will significantly bolster the party's vote count. I am cognizant that his selection  will garner more membership into the PDP fold and a greater number of votes for the party.

Now that the running mate issue has been resolved, it is crucial to put aside any differences. Everyone must work diligently together to secure victory. Party goals should outweigh personal interests to galvanise voters and elect Asue/Ogie to consolidate on the achievements of Governor Obaseki.

Having chosen a gentle giant and formidable figure in the person of Barr. Ogie, as the running mate, marks the successful overcoming of a significant obstacle. Now, it is imperative to intensify efforts in disseminating the party's manifesto across the nooks and crannies of the state as the campaign commences in no distant time, while admonishing the other political parties on issue based campaigns.
