Osayande visits family of slain boy, promises to fish out killers, support family


_...directs thorough investigation of remote and immediate cause of death_


The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande, on Sunday, paid a condolence visit to the family of a 23-year old boy, Daniel Inusa, who was reportedly killed by unidentified persons in Evbomodu area of Ward 4, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area. 

It was said that Inusa may have had altercation with some unidentified persons in the area, leading to a fight, and his untimely death.

"He went out on Saturday, and was brutally attacked by unidentified persons, he struggled his way to a neighbour's gate, with his intestine popped out, the neighbour called for help, but none was forthcoming as it was a lonely area, eventually she got help, but our boy died before they could get him to the hospital for medical attention; we need justice", his father said.

Urging the family to remain strong as security operatives have been charged to fish out the killers, Osayande noted, "I am very touched by the circumstances surrounding the death of your son, I will appeal that you remain strong and maintain peace, I have asked the Police and DSS to move immediately to fish out the killers of your son".

"We will do our best to ensure his memories are kept while extending support to you at all times; I assure you that the killers will be fished out and brought to book to account for their dastardly act, whoever did this will be punished", Osayande added.

Daniel Inusa, until his death, worked as POP ceiling installer and the last child of the family.

The Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman,  on Sunday, directed security agencies to immediately commemce investigation of the remote and immediate cause of the death of the 23-year old.

With the Chairman on the visit were the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Kingsley Balogban, Councilor, Ward 4, Hon. Esosa Nosa-Odia and some security operatives.
