EDHA 2023: Iyamu visits country home; seek Elders prayers as campaign flagoff approaches

 

Iguododo today standstill as Comrade Bright Iyamu, the Edo State House of Assembly hopeful in the forthcoming general election today visited his ancestral home to seek the Elder's prayers as he prepare to officially flagoff his campaign.

The campaign team led by the Director General of the Campaign Council and the immediate past Council Chairman Honourable Sylvester Ekogiawe Okoro thanked the resourceful people of Iguododo and other neighbouring communities for coming out enmasse to honour the campaign team with their presences.



While addressing the handful of PDP faithfuls, Hon. Okoro disclosed that the primary purpose of the visit was to thank the people for wholeheartedly standing by their son during the just concluded PDP primary and also let them know the campaign proper would commerce very soon. 

He said, "the campaign council and our Leaders are here today to thank the people of Iguododo for solidly standing by their son Comrade Bright Iyamu during the primary and also to officially let them know that the main campaign will be commencing soonest. We're here for your prayers, advice and guidance before we officially kickstart the main campaign".



While acknowledging the fact that other candidates of other political parties are also seeking to occupy the same seat, he urged the over excited Ugboko ward Electorates that he remains the candidate to beat. The undisputable candidate of the Orhionmwon South Constituency, Comrade Bright Iyamu appreciated his people for standing tall with him during the primary and solicited for same energy and support as he officially set to commerce his campaign across the six wards of Orhionmwon South.



Pa. Sunday Amenaghamwon,  responding on behalf of the Odionmwere of Iguododo Elder Wilfred Omoregie praised Comrade Iyamu for all he has done for the community even without occupying any political office. He assured him of the support of all sons and daughters of Iguododo community.


Some of the leaders present at the auspicious event include Barrister Chris Agbonmwanegbe, Ambassador Wesley Asoro, Mr. Osahon Ahunmwan Esq and  Honourable Sunday Okankan. Others includes Honourable Monday Igbinigie, Honourable Influence Osagie and Mr. Kelly Osawaru.
