The Mistake/Miscalculation PDP Orhionmwon Leaders/Delegates Must not Make
Over the past few months, I've refrained from making my opinions public to avoid being seen as ego driven or personal interest intended, but it has come to the point where we must all put our sincere opinion forward for the benefit of our party and protecting our collective labour.
As the PDP heads towards primaries, one thing is fundamental: to win the general election. To this end, all old logics and information age advantage must be considered towards achieving the desired victory.
We must be circumspect among the Aspirants to pick a Candidate that is popular, not just among party faithfuls, but the electorates. We must try to probe how well the Candidate knows the people and their challenges.
Party delegates must do us the favour to investigate the Candidates' capacity to win elections in their immediate domain before counting on outsiders. We must also consider the flexibility of Candidates among the old and younger generations, and ultimately, loyalty and experience in service.
Winning parameters like popularity, flexibility, competence, experience, loyalty and electoral worth should not be sacrificed at the altar of deep pockets and external influences. It must be clearly understood by our most esteemed delegates that victory at the primaries isn't an end in itself, but a means to an end.
